We need to engage democratic systems to maintain them. That is why I am engaging local government and the local school board on the important topic of improving outcomes for our youth in Baltimore City by promoting autonomy supportive practices.

On 5/27/25, I shared about the impact of Self Determination Theory on multilingual students that I work with and urged the Baltimore City School Board of Commissioners to look consider taking actions to ensure all students are in autonomy-supportive learning communities.
